Planning commission approves Schultz and Williams lot-line replat on South University Drive

The Fargo Planning Commission on Aug. 4 approved the Schultz and Williams 2nd edition plat, a lot-line replat on South University Drive near the Cork and Cleaver restaurant. Donald Kress of the Department of Planning and Development presented the proposal and said the zoning will remain GC (General Commercial) and that the project involves only rearranging lot lines, not new construction.
"This is located here on South University Drive. The nearest landmark is the Cork and Cleaver restaurant," Donald Kress said during the staff presentation. Kress explained that the replat splits existing parcels to clarify lot lines — for example, combining parts of Lots 8 and 9 into Lot 1 for the restaurant — and corrects a lot line that previously ran through the edge of a building. Staff recommended approval and noted Alex Thiele of Moore Engineering was present as a project representative.
After a brief public-hearing period with no speakers, a commissioner moved to accept staff findings. The clerk conducted a roll call and the motion carried on unanimous 'aye' votes. The commission recorded no conditions to the approval and noted no zone changes were requested.
