Harrison council approves minutes, excuses member and moves into executive session
Summary
At its July 21 meeting, Harrison City Council approved the July 7 minutes, voted to excuse Tony Egner, and voted to enter an executive session under ORC 121.22(G)(1) to consider a personnel promotion. All recorded roll-call votes were unanimous.
Harrison City Council approved the minutes from its July 7, 2026 meeting on a motion by Tanner Dole, seconded by Bill Neyer; the roll call was recorded as "All Yea." Council then approved a motion by Bill Neyer, seconded by Ryan Samuels, to excuse Tony Egner from the July 21 meeting.
Later in the meeting, Council Member Ryan Samuels moved, with a second from Bill Neyer, to enter executive session under ORC 121.22(G)(1) to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of a public employee; the motion passed on a roll call of "All Yea." The council recessed to executive session at 8:27 p.m. and reconvened at 9:10 p.m., after which Ed Whitt made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Tanner Dole; roll call: All Yea.
