During its April 16 meeting the Planning Commission identified the 30% rule for qualifying as affordable housing as an item needing further consideration. Commissioners said the definition of affordable housing and the income/percentage threshold should be clarified before adopting related zoning language.
The Board accepted waiver-criteria terminology as amended and requested additional drafting on underground tank language from Commissioner Evangeline James. Zoning Administrator Dennis Marquise clarified how conditions added to permits relate to neighborhood character and how permit expirations and extensions will be handled.
