The Newbury Planning Commission agreed by consensus April 16 to move forward with Articles 1–6 of its revised Unified Zoning and Subdivision Regulations and accepted proposed revisions on subdivisions as drafted. Chair Tony O’Meara documented the decision during the meeting that began at 6:00 p.m.
The action does not represent final adoption; commissioners instructed staff to merge an updated Article 3 use table into the draft and to 'pressure-test' the combined text later. The board also directed each commissioner to bring a top-five list of uses they believe should be prohibited in town zoning districts for consideration at the next meeting.
