The Orleans Town Council on June 19 approved routine business including the May meeting minutes and the adoption of an updated policy and procedure manual presented by Clerk‑Treasurer Robert F. Henderson. Councilman John F. Noblitt moved to accept the minutes; Council President John H. Lindley seconded and the motion passed with all in favor.
The council also approved Krista Garrison as a new applicant to the Orleans Municipal Fire Department and selected Summers Seamless Guttering to replace guttering at the town garage at a cost of $4,071.70; the chosen quote was cited as containing additional material compared with other bids. The minutes record the manual as a final working draft that council members approved and signed.
