"So do you have any thoughts about how you might gain more space to make a turnaround area?" the Councilman asked. Consultant Christopher said the team will examine required clearances and explore moving some support spaces to a partial basement if feasible. He said the design team believes the entry drive width likely would not change but that the rear area would need to open up to achieve the radius needed for box trucks.
A committee member also suggested the city consider pursuing angled parking along Court Street and Broad Street as a separate municipal action to increase capacity and ease perceived parking barriers for library users.
