Superintendent Nancy Milligan told the committee that attendance at the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Executive Institute provided practical leadership lessons and networking that will inform the district's work. She said she will participate in a three-year superintendent induction program and will present an entry plan to the committee in September.
Milligan also described administrative retreat work to refine Year 2 actions of the district's three-year strategic plan, noting the administrative team drafted updates to school improvement plans and a professional development plan. "As part of this program, I will be creating an entry plan to present to the committee in September," Milligan said. The committee was told a fuller presentation on data-driven decision making, instructional supports, facilities and communications goals will follow in August and September.
