Council reviewed a Pipeline and Easement Relocation Agreement that replaces a prior arrangement under which Willard would have been required to move a pipeline if requested by the Wells family. Under the new agreement, Granite assumes the liability to relocate the pipeline, and the prior requirement on the city is vacated. Council Member Braegger moved approval; Council Member Mund seconded. The motion passed with Council Member Hulsey abstaining.
The agreement clarifies who bears relocation responsibilities for the pipeline that crosses or runs near the affected properties and changes a prior obligation involving the Wells family. The city attorney characterized the change as a transfer of relocation liability to Granite and indicated the prior agreement would be vacated upon execution of the new document.
