The Willard City Council approved a Water Agreement that promises Granite a commitment of 110 Equivalent Residential Units (ERUs) of water for future development over a 50-year term. In exchange, Granite will convey property for a secondary tank area and for the culinary tank site and will transfer a water-line easement to the city. Council members clarified during discussion that the agreement does not constitute subdivision approval; any subdivision remains subject to a separate process.
Council Member Bodily moved to approve the Water Agreement and Council Member Mund seconded. The motion passed with Council Member Hulsey recorded as abstaining. City staff and Granite will follow the procedural steps to convey the specified property and record the easement.
