Granite Construction outlines expanded dust-control plan for south gravel operation

Sweet also noted a longer-term sprinkler proposal for the cut slope that would require new water resources the company does not yet have.
Mayor Travis Mote asked whether Granite could prioritize water use based on wind direction; Sweet confirmed the company can shift watering to reduce downwind dust. Sweet also agreed to coordinate with nearby peach farmers during harvest. The presentation gave council members the primary details of planned controls; no council action was required following the presentation.
