Volunteer group seeks downtown Draper Street shop for Humankind Fair Trade pop-up

A Kingsburg resident asked the BID to help find a downtown Draper Street retail space (ideally 500–700 sq ft, flexible 300–1,000) for a Humankind Fair Trade holiday pop-up this fall and offered mobile pop-up options if a storefront is unavailable.
Kathy Heinrich Swist, a Kingsburg resident, told the board she and a teammate ran a Humankind Fair Trade pop-up in Kingsburg last year and would like to return for the holiday season if the board can help identify downtown retail space with window visibility on Draper Street.
"Ideally, we would want, like, 500 to 700 square feet, but, we would consider anything from 300 square feet to 1000," Swist said, noting a preference for September or October through Christmas. She said Humankind is a nonprofit shop supporting artisans globally and described the pop-up as an opportunity to connect local shoppers with international artisans.
Chair thanked Swist and asked staff to flag available downtown storefronts; the board offered to circulate the group's flyer to members and on the BID events board if the pop-up occurs within BID boundaries. Swist said a mobile pop-up at the Crayfish Festival or Santa Lucia would be a fallback if no suitable storefront is available.
