Council appoints liaison to train station advisory board, adds Woodgrove baseball proclamation and other routine business

The Percival Town Council handled several routine agenda items and recognitions on June 23, including the appointment of a council liaison and adding a proclamation honoring a state-champion high school team.
Mayor moved and council approved appointing Council Member Aaron Rayner (speaker 5) to serve as council liaison to the train station advisory board immediately through 12/31/2027 (or until a new appointment); the motion passed by recorded voice vote. The council also agreed to add to the July 14 agenda a proclamation recognizing the Woodgrove High School varsity baseball team as BHSL Class 4 state champions, with staff asked to coordinate timing to maximize player attendance.
Earlier in the meeting the council approved the agenda and a consent agenda that included reappointments to the train station advisory board and approval of prior meeting minutes. The council also recognized educators from Blue Ridge Middle School and heard brief remarks from Principal Brian Bell (speaker 6).
