The Los Molinos Unified School District Board of Education unanimously approved the district's unaudited actuals for fiscal year 2023–24 at its Sept. 19 meeting. Vice President Melissa Peters moved the approval; Trustee Roger Mesecher seconded the motion, which carried 7-0 with each member voting aye.
At the same meeting the board adopted Resolution 9-19-24A establishing the GANN appropriations limit and Resolution 9-19-24B certifying the sufficiency of instructional materials for the upcoming year. Both resolutions passed on recorded 7-0 votes. Chief Business Officer Ms. Landingham had presented the unaudited actuals and provided financial context ahead of the votes.
The board also completed the required annual review of Board Policy 6145 under Education Code 35160.5. That review was moved by Peters and seconded by Mesecher and recorded as carried 7-0; the minutes do not indicate substantive changes to the policy during the session.
The actions formalize the district's year-end financial position and compliance with state instructional-materials and policy-review requirements. The board's recorded roll-call votes for these actions listed Mesecher, Knox (Susan Knox/Sue Knox), Morgan, Crossland, Peters, Mekhail and Andersen as voting aye.
