Cycling with the Mayor has resumed in Grand Prairie after earlier cancellations, the Reporter said, with the return marked at CP Wagner Park and a schedule of rides, walks, runs and community and health fairs to be held at multiple locations through the rest of 2026. "Cycling with the Mayor is finally back in Grand Prairie after severe weather prevented it a couple of times earlier this spring," the Reporter said.
A participant described the ride as short and pleasant, noting the social aspect and the chance to meet the mayor: "The ride was great. Short ride, very inter terrains and just a cycle through the park and see all the people in there. So it's nice. It's it's nice to come out and meet people and socialize and, you know, get to see the mayor again and ride with the mayor," the Resident said. The Reporter gave the city's Get Fit GP initiative name and directed listeners to gptx.org/getfitgp for the full schedule.
