Council presses for traffic analysis and infrastructure detail as Epicenter concepts include new roadway connections

When asked how traffic would be considered in future development, Sean Jackson said, "Traffic impact analysis would be a part of any project." He explained that projects may require either a simple review or a deeper study to determine whether additional lanes or other roadway changes are needed, and that the proposed form-drive connection was conceived to provide north–south relief and reduce queuing on Mayfield.
Jackson also said parking for concepts around Trader’s Village was shown to be sited off Mayfield and that a planned parking garage could accompany additional retail and residential options. Council members reiterated that traffic impacts — especially weekend congestion — need to be central to any redevelopment discussion and that each project will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
