SANTA MONICA — Raymer Flynn, executive director of the Santa Monica Education Foundation, told the board the foundation was 80.2% of the way toward a $1.8 million goal and reported increases in family giving and donor participation.
Flynn provided participation metrics (about 33% family participation at the time of the slides versus 23% the prior year) and described corporate-level gifts and endowed programs the foundation supports, including arts and music supplements, teacher grants, and $75,000 designated for student mental-health programs. He urged community participation in upcoming events such as the Santa Monica Wine Auction on April 26 at the Fairmont Miramar and said summer-adventure enrichment had nearly sold out.
Board members thanked Flynn for the update and for the foundation's work supporting district programs.
