Health department schedules community recovery seminar and disaster-recovery training

Deputy Health Officer Emily Olson announced a Recovery Resources Seminar scheduled for Wednesday, March 19 at 6 p.m. at the Westby Area Performing Arts Center; partners listed in the minutes include Coulee Cap, Great Rivers 211, the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, River 2 Ridge Disaster Resilience Group, and Vernon County Emergency Management. The seminar is intended to provide families with information about resources available before an emergency or disaster.
Staff also noted the Community Planning for Disaster Recovery (AWR-356) course on April 9 at the La Crosse County Health Department from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Board members were informed the events are part of ongoing preparedness outreach and training.
