The board reviewed three departmental policy items and approved each by motion during its Feb. 11 meeting. Frank Easterday moved to approve the Foodborne and Waterborne Outbreak Investigation Policy and Procedure; Sherrie Seidel seconded and the motion passed with 'All ayes.' Later in the meeting the board accepted the Health Department payroll policy (moved by Seidel, seconded by Lonnie Muller) and approved contracting with Language Line Solutions along with a Language Barrier Policy (moved by Easterday, seconded by Duane Koons).
Minutes record the motions and that each carried with unanimous assent; they do not provide roll-call vote tallies. The Language Line contracting gives the department a vendor for telephonic and interpretation services to support residents with limited English proficiency.
