The Vernon County Board of Health convened Feb. 11, 2025, in the Sheriff’s Department Training Room and adopted minutes from its January meeting before turning to program reports and policy reviews. Chair David Eggen called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM; Vice-Chair Martha Olson presided after Eggen was excused at 1:27 PM. Health Officer Amy Kleiber presented the monthly voucher and public health levy review, reporting that levy spending stood at roughly 6% of the annual budget for the year to date.
During the session the board approved a suite of departmental policies, including outbreak-investigation, payroll procedures and a contract with Language Line Solutions for language access. The board also accepted an agent-program policy update tied to a Feb. 7, 2025, DATCP compliance letter and approved a temporary order-to-cease form for environmental enforcement. The meeting concluded with scheduling the next meeting for March 12, 2025, and adjournment at 2:07 PM.
