The board approved two employment agreements to cover planned leaves in the special education leadership at the transition center.
For the director role, the administration recommended an agreement with Joanne Panopoulos to serve as substitute director of special education from Sept. 28, 2026, through Jan. 28, 2027, including three paid transition days at a premium per‑diem rate of $950. The board voted 5–0 to approve the agreement.
For the assistant director role, the administration recommended Linda Flisack as substitute assistant director for Oct. 26, 2026–Feb. 25, 2027, with three paid transition days at a per‑diem rate of $750. The board voted 5–0 to approve that agreement as well. Administrators noted that both leaves had been approved at the June 25 regular meeting and that the temporary appointments were intended to ensure continuity of services at the transition center.
