District to consider addendum with Access Health to expand school-based health services to Weaver

Superintendent Deloy described a proposed addendum to the district's MOU with Access Health to add a Weaver (Weber) health-center site beginning January 2027. He said Access Health — the organization that manages Cabrini’s health centers under contract — would fund operations via Medicaid reimbursements and that the expansion would require no district subsidy.
Board members asked whether the new site would reduce strain from fewer school nurses. Deloy said school nurses and health-center staff have overlapping but distinct duties, and that the addendum would increase coverage though it would not be "apples to apples" with a nurse’s role. He described the expansion as a "win-win" that could let Magnet students access services at the new site.
