Deloy warned that ongoing City of Natchitoches construction on 2nd Street will create a traffic bottleneck during the first week of classes, asking the community to "give grace" to city crews and district staff as buses and parents navigate altered traffic patterns. He said the district had asked local police and the mayor’s office to help manage intersections during the high-traffic period.
Deloy noted a staggered start for NACA Central: tenth-, 11th- and 12th-graders will report later than other students. He also reminded the board that NACA Central is holding a "meet the chiefs" event on Aug. 15 tied to the football program.
