Board readies for winter, approves $200 beaver-trapping donation and schedules culvert work

During the Nov. 26 meeting the board reviewed maintenance plans ahead of freeze-up and reported a contractor has a possible Dec. 3–4 start date for the 134th culvert replacement project. The township will request a county extension for submitting invoices to ensure eligibility for grant funding.
The board also approved a $200 donation to the trapper who removed three beavers from 150th Street. Chairman Mike Helman moved to donate $200 to Jason for the trapping; Vice Chairman Brandon Geyen seconded. Supervisor Andy Christensen abstained; the motion carried (recorded as carried 4-0). Officials noted snowplow equipment will be installed and route training will begin next week, and that trucks are being scheduled for DOT and annual service.
