Chair Carlson announced at the start of the Hutto Economic Development Corporation meeting that he is resigning from his positions as chairman and board member, citing increasing work obligations and health-related considerations.
"Tonight, I am resigning from my position as chairman and board member of the Economic Development Corporation," the chair said, adding that serving on the board had been "truly an honor and a privilege." He thanked fellow board members, partners and staff and said he would follow the board's work "from the sidelines." The announcement came at the opening of the regularly scheduled meeting and preceded routine agenda business.
Board members did not debate the resignation during the same meeting. The board proceeded with scheduled business, including routine financial reports and a series of motions and votes. The timing of any formal vacancy procedures or an effective resignation date was not specified in the meeting record.
