He explained the jurisdictional complexity: "A county road is 55 mile an hour unless otherwise posted." S2 asked permission to contact the county (Richard Dixon) to request a posted 35 mph sign at the point where the road enters the town to encourage drivers to slow for the town environment.
Members agreed the town should request county signage because the west side of the road involved lies in the county and posting there would require county action. Chair (S4) said a site review would be useful, and S2 said he would follow up early next week.
