The board voted to approve an amendment extending the district’s master facilities use agreement with the City of Santa Monica to June 30, 2038. Chief Operations Officer Kerry Upton told trustees the agreement bundles prior voter‑approved advisory measures (Measures YY and GS) and preserves a portion of sales‑tax advisory funding for certain facility uses, specifically at Santa Monica High School and Los Amigos Park.
Upton said the city council already approved the extension on Jan. 27, 2026, and recommended the board do the same to maintain long‑term funding flows tied to those voter measures. Trustees asked for clarification about which athletic facilities were included; Upton said supplemental agreements specify the facilities at Santa Monica High and Los Amigos Park. The board voted in favor of the extension.
