The Claymont City Board of Education on April 13 approved a slate of superintendent personnel recommendations. The board approved transferring Ida Gorman to the high school as assistant principal for 2026–27; it approved an administrative reduction in force for Michele Henry as Intermediate Principal at the conclusion of the 2025–26 school year and also approved employing her as middle‑school assistant principal for 2026–27. The board also approved transferring Jodie Miles back to the Assistant Superintendent role for 2026–27 and multiple other hires and substitutes as presented.
The personnel slate carried on a roll call vote with the four members present voting yes. Several items were noted as pending proper credentialing or background checks (for example, choir volunteer approvals and classified substitute appointments).
