Green Mountain Falls board approves support letters to CUSP and earmarks Kirkpatrick funds for mitigation matching

Lisa Huizinga presented the committee recommendation and stressed the town's prior benefit from CUSP's grant-broker role.
"Adrienne Knight...is writing a grant for a hand crew to work in areas like Green Mountain Falls," Huizinga said, and requested a commitment letter stating the town's willingness to work with CUSP crews over the next five to six years, depending on cost. Trustees discussed reporting burdens associated with federal grants, CUSP's role as grant broker, and approved sending the letters and earmarking the funds with the caveat that any town contribution remains subject to annual budget approval.
