Organizers of the 87th annual Bronk Day asked the board to waive the special-event fee and the trustees approved the waiver.
Lisa Bonhoe, president of Building You Pest Community, said the festival brings customers to town and supports local businesses: "We feel like we bring a lot of business in on that day, to, support our local businesses," (Lisa Bonhoe). Trustees also discussed vendor licensing, mobile food vendor taxes reported through the state, and law-enforcement support; a motion to approve the permit and waive the fee was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
