The Board unanimously approved the consent agenda on Feb. 17 by roll call (Ayes: Freeman, Marsden, Bair, Khabeer, Chao, England, Savage). The consent agenda included payment of bills dated Jan. 31, 2026 in the amount of $307,567.42 and a personnel slate: resignations of licensed staff Yasmeen Miller (5th grade teacher at Edison) and Antonia Yarnes (Special Ed/SELF‑CONT teacher at Edison), both effective June 10, 2026; and a temporary hire, Kimbra Burnside, as long‑term substitute 4th grade teacher at Edison (effective 03/23/2026–06/09/2026).
The board also approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Skokie Education Association establishing a retirement incentive for an eligible certificated staff member, and approved moving the regular March 17 board meeting to March 18, 2026 to comply with a change in the Open Meetings Act.
