Shorewood board approves conditional use for TLC Towing accessory to Loop & Auto

The Village of Shorewood approved an ordinance granting a conditional use for a towing business accessory to an existing automobile repair business at the Loop & Auto site. Planning and zoning recommended the application 5–0; trustees voted to adopt the ordinance and waived the second reading.
Community Development staff said the use is limited to one tow truck that would be stored inside a bay and that the business would not operate a police impound or salvage yard. "They've also confirmed they'll only ever have 1 tow truck," staff said, and the ordinance includes language to prevent outdoor storage or a salvage operation. The board approved the item by roll call.
