The board on Oct. 8 accepted a resolution approving a temporary construction easement from the Siegel family farm (PIN 0506-191-00003) to facilitate construction access for a proposed 16-inch water-main extension. Public Works Director Noriel said the extension would run from a planned pumping station at the public works site to the Walnut Trails water tower as part of the village's alternate-source water program.
Noriel told the board the easement is limited to construction ingress and egress and that the water main itself will not be installed on Siegel family property. He added that the Siegel family had already approved and executed the easement grant before the board vote.
The board voted to accept the easement resolution; staff said the action clears a key property-access requirement for the water-main project to proceed with construction planning and permitting.
