Parks and Recreation Director John Starr told the Committee that restroom facilities used during the Trout Festival created significant issues and additional expense; he said the county needs an increased event schedule to generate revenue for Kaliseum operations. He also presented a proposed Dalmac Bicycle Tour contract for Labor Day with no substantive changes; the Committee asked counsel to review the contract and to revisit the item at upcoming June meetings.
The Committee also agreed by consensus to waive a $100 Kaliseum room rental fee for election training on June 12, 2026, to be placed on the May 20 agenda for formal approval.
