Board approves multiple rezones and routine appointments in consent agenda

The Oconto County Board approved several rezoning petitions and confirmed appointments and re-appointments as part of its consent agenda on April 23.

Approved rezones included A2026-04-01 (Sprague Family Irrevocable Trust: rezone 40.0 acres in the Town of Brazeau from Agricultural to Agricultural with Quarry Overlay to allow future quarry expansion), A2026-04-02 (South Chase Storage: rezone 10.0 acres in the Town of Chase from Agricultural to Rural Residential to create two developable lots), A2026-04-03 (Ortega-Perez: rezone 9.0 acres in the Town of Oconto to Rural Residential for compliance and future sale), A2026-04-04 (Jancoski: rezone 5.003 acres in Town of Stiles to Agricultural to combine lots), and A2026-04-05 (Usher-Hovanec: rezone 5.0 acres in Town of Underhill to Rural Residential for construction of a residence). These petitions were recommended by the Land & Water Resources Committee following public hearings and were adopted by the board as part of the consent agenda.

The board also confirmed appointments and re-appointments including TEDCOR board appointments (Stephanie Holman, Char Meier), several regional and county board appointments (Dennis Kroll to Bay Lake Regional Planning Commission and NEWCOM, Kathy Gohr to Health & Human Services Board), and MAR-OCO Joint Solid Waste Committee re-appointments (Joel Lavarda, Al Schreiber, Bart Schindel). One consent item (re-appointment to Northwood’s Rail Commission) was removed at the start of the meeting and handled separately. The amended consent agenda was then approved by unanimous vote.
