Planning Commission approves reopening of mobile home park on Parcel 19329

The Mecklenburg County Planning Commission on June 18 unanimously approved an application from property owner Brentley Morris to reopen a mobile home park on Mecklenburg County Parcel Record Number 19329.
Mr. Morris told the Commission the park "has been closed for 20 years" and that he has updated the property's water, sewage and power infrastructure. The parcel is described in county records as being on the north side of Route 663 (Cedar Grove Road), 12.6 feet west of its intersection with Morris Drive, in Election District 6 (Deed Book LR-17-401; Will Book WF-16-325). He said the project would include nine lots and that he is working with the Virginia Department of Transportation on the property's entrance.
An adjoining property owner, Hattie Farrar, asked how many lots would be used and whether a property manager would be on site. The transcript records no written opposition to the application; the Zoning Office had received no phone calls, letters, or emails on the matter. On a motion by Mark Warren, seconded by Randy Crocker, the Commission voted unanimously to approve (David Brankley; Charles P Reamy; Landon Hayes Jr.; Randy Crocker; Mark Warren; Debra Crowder; Kyle Crump; Derperdine Webster; Deloris Simmons voted 'aye').
