The Shirland School District No. 134 Board of Education convened an executive session at 7:45 p.m. under the Open Meetings Act to review closed minutes and discuss personnel matters. After returning to open session at 7:58 p.m., the board approved the June 26 closed‑session minutes and accepted three resignations: Makenzy Hooker (assistant volleyball coach), Lindsey Minkie (business manager) and Heather Dobnick (yearbook advisor).
The board also approved a slate of hires moving forward: Sarah Stromberg as assistant volleyball coach; Karly Scarpetta as business manager; Stephanie Graupner as school secretary and pep club advisor; Katie Wagoner as paraprofessional; Sara VanHauen as yearbook advisor; and Stacy Corder to serve as treasurer. Each personnel action was approved by motion and roll‑call vote.
