The Palm Springs Airport Commission on July 29 elected Devin Corcoran to another term as chair and installed Todd Burke as vice chair after a nominations and roll-call process led by City Clerk Brenda Preece.
"We deeply appreciate your trust and your time, talent, and commitment," Corcoran said after the vote, laying out six commitments for the year that prioritize implementation, guest experience, financial strength and stronger partnerships with airlines and the city. The clerk opened nominations and, after a motion and a roll-call vote, the commission confirmed the pair by recorded vote and the chair said the motion carried.
Corcoran's opening remarks stressed moving from planning to execution: "Planning brought us here, but implementation is what we need to move forward," he said. He also emphasized investing in staff and enhancing the airport's hospitality and cultural identity through programs like Art of PSP.
The commission set a September 16 meeting and previewed a full-day strategic off-site in December where commissioners will prioritize the five-year capital improvement plan and project sequencing.
