Public utilities names Thiago Torres da Silva employee of the month

The Public Works and Utilities Committee honored Thiago Torres da Silva as the Public Utilities Department employee of the month for July 2026. Randy Lopez, identified in the agenda as the transmission and distribution manager, presented the recognition and noted that Thiago was working on a water-main break during the meeting.
"Tiago demonstrates great leadership and is always willing, to go the extra mile to get the job done while ensuring constituents are well taken care of," the presenter said. The award includes one day of administrative leave. Chair Councilor Chavez thanked staff and asked that appreciation be conveyed to the honoree.
