Glassport readies holiday parade and seeks volunteers for development corp.; Off-Road Vehicle Park work continues

Councilman Dave Kowalski announced the Glassport Christmas Parade scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 30 at 6:00 p.m., with a lighting event immediately following and Santa providing treats for children.
Council approved $100 donations to Glassport Lanes for youth bowling and $100 to the South Allegheny Boys Basketball Team. Kowalski also said the Glassport Development Corp. is seeking volunteers and reported that a meeting discussed grants and next steps for the Off-Road Vehicle Park; trail work is progressing and conversations focused on a building, cameras and block materials.
Residents interested in events or volunteering were invited to attend Glassport Development Corp. meetings, held the first Monday of each month at the borough building at 6:00 p.m.
