Council Vice President Mark Stecak told the borough on Nov. 19 that ongoing sewer televising has revealed two fully collapsed sewer lines and that the borough is awaiting the engineer's recommendation on how to proceed.
Stecak said the public works crews are continuing the televising effort; the discovery prompted council action on related equipment: motions passed to advertise the sale of a 2000 bucket truck and a scissor lift. The council did not adopt a repair contract at the meeting and awaited further engineering guidance.
Council members recorded unanimous votes on the equipment-sale motions, leaving decisions about repair scope and funding for a later meeting once the engineer's report is available.
