Glassport council approves monthly minutes, two property acquisitions and $1.15 million in October bills

Glassport Borough Council on Nov. 19 approved routine minutes and financial reports and authorized payouts that together exceeded $1.15 million.
The council approved the Regular Monthly Meeting minutes of Oct. 15 and the Oct. 31 Safety Meeting minutes. Council adopted Resolution No. 1 (Parcel 558-H-055) and Resolution No. 2 (Parcel 558-H-049) to convey two parcels to Harold Case through the Vacant Property Recovery Program. The motions passed unanimously, recorded as Yes 6, No 0, Absent 1.
Treasurer Elaina Skiba presented the monthly financial reports. Council approved paying General Fund bills for October in the amount of $659,098.65 and Sewer Revenue Fund bills for October in the amount of $495,587.35. Council also voted to approve the Monthly Financial Reports.
Council additionally adopted memoranda of understanding related to police labor: an agreement with Teamsters Local No. 205 adjusting salaries and certain benefits for Glassport Police Department employees, and a separate MOU with Chief DeVerse addressing holiday-pay terms.
The meeting concluded with routine business and adjournment. The council recorded no contested roll-call votes on these items.
