Sheffield board approves Jacob Frost as village attorney, effective Oct. 1

The board approved the retainer and set the start date for services as Oct. 1, 2024; roll call AYES: Adams, Corwin, Pratt, Price, Yepsen, Lanham; NAYS: None; ABSENT: DeVoss (MOTION CARRIED 6-0).
Board members also reviewed changes tied to the new attorney's schedule. Because of a conflict beginning in 2025, trustees accepted a revised meeting schedule moving regular meetings to the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Sheffield Community Center. Trustee Pratt, seconded by Trustee Adams, moved to accept the 2025 schedule; the motion carried (MOTION CARRIED 5-0).
