Lanham outlined Phase 1 plans that would add a walking path, new restrooms and concession, weight equipment, a ninja course, a pollination station, a children’s playground with a pavilion and resurfacing of the existing pickleball court. The hearing closed at 6:40 p.m.
Attendees at the hearing voiced support for the project and asked procedural questions about the timeline and next steps — “When would we know if we get it?” and “When would Phase 2 happen?” — and how residents could help. No decision was made at the meeting; the board closed the public hearing and will incorporate public feedback into the grant application process before any formal action at a later meeting.
