The board approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Skokie Park District to operate after‑school clubs for elementary students in District 68 facilities. Administration said the arrangement will allow the Park District to use district spaces, provide a range of high‑interest clubs (from hip‑hop to other creative offerings) and remove financial obstacles to participation.
Superintendent explained the Park District is finalizing hiring and will publish club offerings and locations once staffing is complete. Trustees asked and received confirmation that the arrangement had been discussed with district staff and that the Park District will handle program operations while the district provides space. The motion to approve the agreement carried on roll call.
