Resident Bruce Sattler presented a variance request to remove existing sheds and construct a new 30' × 43' garage. He told the Council removing the sheds would improve emergency access though he acknowledged fire apparatus still could not reach the site via the alley. Sattler indicated the structure would have no overhead doors and would be intended for storage rather than vehicle parking.
Council directed staff to follow the zoning code process: Sattler will collect signatures from all property owners within 300 feet as required, Auditor Maria Kolling will publish the public hearing notices, and the Planning & Zoning Board scheduled a special meeting for May 27 followed by a Special Council meeting at 6:15 PM to consider the variance.
