Jason Scholes, chair of the Uintah Basin chapter of the American Petroleum Institute, and Cody Labrum, the chapter treasurer, asked the council to waive greens and tournament fees for the chapter's 50th anniversary. City Manager Josh Bake said staff recommended that fee waivers be limited to 50-year anniversaries as a standard for future requests.
Councilman B. Hancock moved to waive the fees; the motion was seconded and the council voted unanimously to approve the waiver. Councilwoman A. Goodrich asked what standard would be used for future fee-waiver requests and the council agreed to the staff recommendation (50-year anniversaries).
