Superintendent reports facility assessments and emergency protocol work for Skokie 68

During the superintendent’s report on April 17, administration said it contracted an organization to perform facility assessments across district buildings and learning centers and has received comprehensive reports that include both recommendations and recognition of recent capital improvements such as secure vestibules. The superintendent described ongoing work to revise standard response protocols and related emergency training for staff.
"This year, significant work has gone on behind the scenes as an administrative team to continuously improve our safety efforts in several areas. Earlier in the year, we hired an organization that provided facility assessments for every building and learning center in the district," the superintendent said. The administration added the district is coordinating more frequently with the Skokie Police Department and other emergency partners and will roll out training to staff over the summer and into the fall.
