Mayor Keith DiMarco presented the police report (available on request) and council voted to ratify the hiring of Police Officer Luke Temple (motion by Amy Nabors, second Dave Kowalski), with the motion carried by those present (Yes 5, No 0, Absent 2).
Council President Anthony Colecchi also announced the borough's next Safety Meeting on Oct. 31. Colecchi said the Giant Eagle mobile market is averaging 20 to 30 visitors per week, and representatives from Tree Pittsburgh were present at the Oct. 15 meeting to update council on their program.
The minutes do not include the terms of Officer Temple’s appointment (start date, probationary period, or pay scale); those employment details are typically handled by the borough police department and human-resources processes.
