The borough treasurer provided written reports Oct. 15 and told council that switching the borough's account to Brentwood Bank has earned $22,896.64 in interest to date.
Council approved the monthly financial reports and voted to pay General Fund bills for September totaling $548,119.30 and Sewer Revenue Fund bills totaling $91,369.56 (motions and roll-call votes recorded as Yes 5, No 0, Absent 2). Borough Manager Elaina Skiba said staff met with Brentwood Bank to discuss accepting credit-card payments; answers to remaining questions are pending before formal implementation.
Skiba also informed council that the borough will start its third year under a contract with Waste Management and that the 2025 fee will be $27.99 per month plus the processing fee for billing. The minutes do not include an implementation date for credit-card acceptance or a budget amendment reflecting the Waste Management fee change.
