Wabasso School Board certifies Nov. 5 election; three members elected to four-year terms

The Wabasso Public School District School Board unanimously approved a resolution Nov. 13 to canvass the returns of the Nov. 5, 2024 general election and certify the winners of three open school board seats. The board recited the Abstract and Return of Votes Cast and declared Joshua Goche, Kimberly Frank and Robyn Hillesheim the top three vote-getters; their four-year terms begin the first Monday in January 2025.
The resolution, moved by Tom Carlson and seconded by Jeff Turbes, found that the Nov. 5 election “was in all respects duly and legally called and held.” The board read the vote totals included in the resolution: Joshua Goche 793; Kimberly Frank 612; Robyn Hillesheim 474; Magan Simon 404; Cole Cooreman 314; Paia Weise 291; Abby Ricketts 245; Marcia Guetter King 234; Connor Leszczuk 218; Brandy Ricketts 115; write-in 9. The board also authorized the school district clerk to certify the election results to the county auditor of each county in which the district is located.
